Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company manufactured 46 P-6E Hawks, which would become the last biplane fighter built in quantity for the Air Corps. The last remaining example of the Hawk resides at the National Museum of the United States Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
The Great Planes P-6E that graces the cover pays tribute to the sole survivor as a beautiful, electric-powered ARF model.
