In this month’s "Electrics" column, on page 56, Terry Dunn shares some highlights from 2025’s Northeast Electric Aircraft Technology (NEAT) Fair. Several models were showcased at the event, including Mike Cripps’ tiny XB-70 Valkyrie. You can watch videos of Mike’s Valkyrie in flight on his YouTube channel by visiting youtube.com/@cybermikeRC. RC Roundtable cohosts Lee Ray and Fitz Walker also attended the NEAT Fair, where they shot several videos with Terry. Those videos can be found on AMA’s YouTube channel by visiting youtube.com/@modelaircraft.

New Year, New Skills

The new year has settled in, and that means loads of model airplanes are either being built, flown, or repaired.

In the hopes of more successful flying for new pilots, we have developed a series of lessons available online for you to share! These lessons are intended to supplement the Intro-Pilot Program (modelaircraft.org/clubs/introductory-pilot-program/introductory-pilot-program), but any new pilot can hop into the lessons and be better prepared for their next flights. Visit learn.modelaircraft.org to learn more!

On page 13, AMA honors its new Hall of Fame (HOF) inductees for 2025.

Established in 1969, the HOF honors those who have made significant contributions to the sport of aeromodeling. Each year, a new class is inducted into the AMA HOF. As of the 2025 class, there are a total of 382 inductees. If you know someone who you believe deserves to be honored, visit modelaircraft.org/museum/history-recognition/ama-modelaviation-hall-fame to nominate them. Nominations are due by March 31.
