See What You Missed at AMA Jr. Camp

The inaugural virtual AMA Jr. Camp took place July 6-10 and had more than 600 participants. The camp was for youth ages 5 through 12 and included daily projects and live Q&As with well-known hobbyists. If you were unable to attend, you can still watch the videos on YouTube at www.youtube.com/modelaircraft. We are still enjoying the flying machines we made and will do so for a long time. Please do this next year. Kyle and Claire, you are awesome. We love you Claire! Ronnie Espolt: I was driving to the model field, so was unable to chime in. 750 winds is a trim test amount. It will not climb with that. 1,000 will make them fly. Excessive power will cause some issues with too high of a speed. Practice and keep a record of results to the number of winds. Bill Kuhl: The winder is worth the price of the Alpha. Great job, Kyle Jaracz and Claire. Kevin Massey: I snapped my fuselage by winding it too tight. Not on this but a glider I put together. Kevin Massey: Don’t wind it too tight ... it will snap.
