December 2025 - District I

The Guildhall Fun Flyers Club (GFFC), located in Vermont, remains one of the most active District I clubs, engaging in both outreach events to introduce and promote AMA and aeromodeling to the public, as well as organizing a variety of club events for members and other local clubs to enjoy. These activities help with AMA membership acquisition and retention.

Highlights of 2025 include the June Mt. Washington Airport Airshow and the GFFC members who volunteered to participate, along with AMA’s District Outreach Team (ADOT), as RC pilots thrilled the crowd with their RC flying demonstrations of various model aircraft. Other members provided public guidance in operating AMA’s RC flight simulators and answering attendee questions about aeromodeling. ADOT’s partner, Rich Little, the founder of Flight4CF, a nonprofit committed to raising money to find a cure for cystic fibrosis, expanded the show with three exciting full-scale performers.

In August, GFFC held its annual Warbirds Over Guildhall event, attracting all of the pilots in the photo below, which was taken by Associate Vice President Steve Brehm.

GFFC, for the second year, was invited in September to demonstrate RC flying at the EAA Open House at Caledonia County Airport in Lyndonville, Vermont, and a week later, held its biyearly Moore Reservoir Float Fly with quite a lineup of floatplanes.

Thank you, GFFC members, for yet another year of great RC Fun Flyers events!
