The AMA District I Outreach Team (ADOT) achieved a monumental goal at the 2025 Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show. After more than 50 years of seeking a performance slot alongside the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds, the ADOT was invited to be one of 10 featured performers, moving well beyond a simple STEM/static exhibit.

This landmark accomplishment is a direct result of the dozens of successful local airshows that we participate in annually, documented across our media channels.

Thirteen AMA members attended, with eight pilots flying varied demonstrations each day, including aerobatic, turbine jet, and mixed gaggle flights, while others managed the STEM hangar.

Despite Sunday’s inclement weather that canceled the Blue Angels performance, five RC pilots flew, completely captivating the remaining audience. This demonstration of adaptability and reliability was noted by the base commander, significantly increasing the likelihood of our participation in future shows.

We extend a sincere thanks to Capt. Horton, the air boss, the Air National Guard volunteers, and ADOT members for making this historic first happen!

Two enclosed trailers and a 27-foot flatbed transported the aircraft to the flightline that was 1/2 mile away for showtime RC flying each day.
