March 2026 - District II

It’s become a recent tradition in this column to celebrate along with the District II clubs that gather to ring in the new year while "wringing out" their aircraft at the club field. The weather in District II was a bit severe on New Year’s Day, with high wind and rather cold temperatures. Some pilots did their flying while nestled around a fire, and others got together a few days after January 1. Congratulations to the clubs and the modelers who took their first flights this year, and here’s to many more throughout 2026.

Remember,it’s not about what you fly, it’s about the friends you make.
